There are often news about cars found abandoned in garages or sheds, and usually those cars are neglected and forgotten there. But the BMW below was neither forgotten nor abandoned, its owner simply garaged it 31 years ago, in 1991, and now allowed himself the pleasure of starting it up and taking it out for the first time from there.
It's an E12 generation BMW M535i, a model that very few have heard of, because it was only manufactured for South Africa. The car was also bought from there. Under the hood is the M90 engine, with 6 cylinders in line and 3.5 liter displacement, which produced 215 HP and 310 Nm. They are decent figures, and the rear axle also had a limited-slip differential, for nice drifts.
The model has a special history and is very rare in the world, precisely because of this, it is not wrong to say that this man owns a real rare gem, and in the video below he tells a lot about the M535i, and about his car and her history.
Of course, the big challenge is whether this BMW will start again, now, after 31 years of sitting in the garage and whether it will be able to leave the garage on its own wheels. Of course it could, and the beautiful part is the entire preparation process, but also that wonderful sound of a classic BMW engine, modified by the M division.
See it all in the video below.
