It is often said that fans of classic Japanese cars, especially sports ones, don't really like German cars, or vice versa, and that there is a rivalry between the two camps on the level of predilection for engineering approach and the style in which the cars can be modified. But this Nissan Silvia S15 belongs to a VW fan, especially fond of VW Golf R32.
Waldek, the owner of this Japanese classic, says that he did not dare to dream of this car because he thought it was too expensive to ever be able to afford. But, by chance, he saw it for sale at a more affordable price and he dared. That's how he got to own it and treat it with all the care and passion.
The young man works at a detailing workshop that he himself founded, so he has the necessary skills to revive classic cars and maintain them. Unfortunately, his workshop was damaged by a serious fire, and now he is working to restore it. And despite the difficult period he is going through, he continues to modify his car.
And he does it in a more Germanic style, as he himself says, a style that might not be fully accepted by current JDM fans. But the owner feels fulfilled with it and drives it every day, even with his two small daughters aboard, even when he goes to the store for diapers. Also, the fact that these cars have come to be worth a fortune doesn't stop him from enjoying driving and rolling thousands of kilometers.
