The Czechs are so passionate about their trucks with advanced crossing capabilities that at least 5 spectacular competitions dedicated to them take place in their country every year. And the categories are usually delimited by types of drive — 4x4, 6x6, 8x8 or more, but almost always all-wheel drive. And that's because the challenges are so difficult, that even with so many wheels turning in unison, the trucks still face major challenges, and sometimes impossible to pass.
One such event took place last weekend in Kunstat, Czech Republic and, as usual, Czechs and Slovaks come in huge numbers to watch these offroad truck competitions. Among the competing trucks, Tatra certainly dominates in all kinds of configurations, some of them are Praga, and only a small part come from other brands. So, for the Czechs, it is a kind of competition and demonstration of the capabilities of domestic trucks.
And these competition trucks are modified so that only the essentials remain on them. And that exposes their axles, frame, drive tube and half-axles even more — in other words, if anyone wants to see these four-wheel drive systems on Czech trucks in action, here are the most diverse and eloquent demonstrations. Of course, this means that they also lack ecological filters and sometimes emit black smoke when they are forced intensively, but the sports regulations allow these modifications, as long as they do not go out on public roads.
One of the enthusiasts who came to watch the event, filmed and edited a video with the most spectacular moments with 6x6 trucks, from last weekend's event. Check out this video below.
