How little can a classic car cost in impeccable condition, which has already been restored, does not require investments in long and complex works? Of course, if we talk about low price, we don't mean a collectible Ferrari or Lamborghini, but still something that has a special allure and that makes you feel good on board. Well, probably none of us expect that one of the most accessible flawless classic cars can be put up for sale precisely in Monaco, the country with the most millionaires per square meter.
The car in the pictures is a Fiat 600 manufactured in 1966, so 57 years ago. It was one of the longest-running and most popular models produced by Fiat at the time and was a direct competitor to the rear-engined VW Beetle and Renault 4.
In fact, the small engine takes up so little space that the compartment there still has a lot of free space. Italian cars were so simple, practical and affordable at that time!
And the engine is 767 cubic cm here, which develops 29 HP and 38 Nm. It's a 4-cylinder in-line engine, but not a 2 or 3, as was the custom back then with a small displacement. With it, the Fiat 600 could reach 105 km/h, and the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h took about 43 seconds!
But the essence of this car was not to accelerate with the pedal to the floor, but to parade on the sunny streets of Italy or the Mediterranean coast, enjoying life. And that is exactly what this model did, caressed on the streets of Monaco until now and photographed in the famous places on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
The car was restored, of course, and everything was done to the level of a restoration worthy of a certification in authenticity. And this also refers to its interior, which has kept the original tonality, even the leather upholstery with a specific contour on the edges.
More than that, this example of Fiat 500 is Italian historic car club number 37922. It has the original factory engine installed, all the body, engine and gearbox numbers match the factory ones, so it is a car whose historical value is confirmed.
And now, the big question is how much do you think someone in Monaco can sell such a classic Fiat in absolutely flawless condition? Maybe 30 thousand euros or dollars? It would be a reasonable answer, for a certified and restored car from Monaco. But the de facto price is much lower. Only 9,000 euros (about 9.900 US dollars) are being asked for this collector's car! Only 9 grand for a sample of classic dolce vita, in gem condition. It's an exceptionally low and unexpected price, so it would be worth paying immediately and putting in the garage of any car enthusiast!
