(VIDEO) This is the new Ford Mustang, the car with a V8 engine that you can rev from the outside

Ford has just revealed at the Detroit auto show the new Ford Mustang, a model that is a deep refresh of the previous one, with a design that has evolved enough to be called a new generation. However, the basic ingredients of the Mustang recipe remained present, but they became even spicier and bolder, or, this is the last Mustang in this classic formula that we know, with a naturally aspirated V8 engine, before the big change to the age of electrification.

The new Mustang now has optical blocks with three LEDs each, and the body lines have become sharper. The 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine was kept in the range, but so was the 5.0-liter, and now V8 Mustangs will be easier to see and understand, as they will have a front grill separated into 3 sections.

Inside, the Mustang received a huge double display on the dashboard, making a huge leap towards digitization. And this even if it has a classic lever for a manual gearbox next to it. As before, the Mustang can be equipped with an automatic box, as well as a manual one.

Ford hasn't yet announced the exact horsepower the 2.3-liter and 5.0-liter V8s will produce after the facelift, but they say the V8 guise will be the most powerful production Mustang yet, so we'll have to wait a little longer. more than 465-470 hp. And the fun part is that you will be able to rev this V8 engine with a keyfob, staying outside of the car. Why? Because you can!

But Ford didn't delay dessert and put it on the table at the same time as the basic Mustang. And the dessert is the Dark Horse version, created especially for circuits. This version will have an even more powerful V8, manual gearbox, additional cooling radiators, including the gearbox, but also stronger brakes. And, of course, the look will be even more incisive.

So, after 59 years of career, the Ford Mustang receives a new pose, one that still remains as tasty and as based on the ingredients that defined it. Few cars in the history of the automotive world have such a strong personality and legend. But the Ford Mustang is totally worth it. And the fact that in 2022 we can still see such launches is an almost unbelievable fact, in a world where these cars are in dissapearence. And this is the last one, so it's worth savoring.
