(VIDEO) The first official video game of the Dakar Rally has been released, in which you can drive trucks, cars, motorcycles or buggies, just like in reality

The Dakar Rally is a living legend among the current motorsport races, being rightly considered as the most difficult of them, or, for 14 days, with only one day off, the pilots have to race over distances of thousands of kilometers through the desert lansdscape. And in a world of so many car-themed video games, where Gran Turismo, for example, also has special models created for that game by manufacturers, it's surprising that Dakar didn't have an official video game. Now such a game has been released.

It will allow the maximum approach to the real Dakar experience, the vehicles offered to choose from being of the exact same classes, and even the exact same popular models from recent years. You can choose a Tatra, Iveco or Praga truck, for example, you can choose a Toyota Hilux or a motorcycle, and you have very similar stages to go through, where even the navigation can be exactly like the one for the Dakar pilots. Of course, there are also easier game levels, with a bit more guidance, but the maximum degree of difficulty offers a realistic simulation of the real rally.

The graphic quality is not exactly at the level of Gran Turismo, of course, but for a first edition it is of a decent level. Check out a video below that offers a more advanced foray into the new Dakar video game.
