Audi 200 is already a model considered legendary in the brand's classic range, with an absolutist emphasis on top engines and generous equipment. Obviously, 5-cylinder engines were present under the hood in several guises, and those engines are said to have formed the very identity of Audi.
How does such a 1990 Audi 200 feel driven on the highway these days, how does its engine sound now, 32 years after its manufacture? Well, one such Audi 200, owned by a Belgian enthusiast, has recently been restored, keeping everything original except for a stronger gearbox and a 5-cylinder engine, but with many modified components, including a turbine, which brought it to 480 hp!
And all these changes did not detract from the driving pleasure or the sound of the engine in the slightest. On the contrary. This Audi 200 has such a fabulous sound at high revs that even the most powerful modern cars would be eclipsed next to it.
Check it all out in the video below, which we've set to start at the autobahn run part. If you want to see in detail everything that is modified under the hood, you can set it manually from the beginning.
